Helping a family caring for a woman with Down syndrome

Helping a family caring for a woman with Down syndrome

Victoria Horban is 50 years old. Since birth, she has been unable to take care of herself and fully perceive the world around her. Every day for her is a struggle to understand simple things, to feel comfortable and safe in a world that often seems too complicated. However, her family, her sister and her husband are the safe shore where she always finds warmth and care. Her mother and father, who are long gone, her brother and sister, her relatives - they have all become her protectors, because every day requires a lot of tolerance and love from them.

But even the strongest families sometimes find it difficult to cope with the challenges that life presents. Caring for Victoria is not just a daily routine, it is a whole world of support and dedication. That is why it is so important that there are projects that help not only children but also families with special needs. They allow people who are at the forefront of care to receive support, knowledge and resources to keep their strength and faith in the kindness of people.

Our project is more than just help. It is a promise that we will not leave people in difficult situations alone. We want families like Victoria's to feel that they are not just “surviving” but living to the fullest, having the opportunity for development, for joy and shared moments of happiness. After all, the real strength of a family is in support and love, and we want to be part of this support.
